Cassilda's Song in "The King in Yellow"

My mind is in a Yellow Sign place today. In particular "Cassilda's Song:"

Along the shore the cloud waves break,
The twin suns sink behind the lake,
The shadows lengthen
In Carcosa

Strange is the night where black stars rise,
And strange moons circle through the skies,
But stranger still is
Lost Carcosa

Songs that the Hyades shall sing,
Where flap the tatters of the King,
Must die unheard in
Dim Carcosa.

Song of my soul, my voice is dead,
Die though, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
Lost Carcosa

Introducing The Secret History of the Necronomicon

This is a book I've been hoping to write for many years. In it, I explore the history of the Necronomicon from its earliest roots in Egypt to its modern copies. Did you know, for example, that although Lovecraft wrote of a copy at the library of the Universidad de Buenos Aires, it was sold in the 1980s during a time of devastating inflation? What of how Harvard acquired its copy? And how might one answer those who point to Lovecraft's denials of the Necronomicon's true existence? These may be found in The Secret History of the Necronomicon.

I've contacted several Lovecraftian forces of fandom like the Lovecraft eZine and Cthulhu Chick who will be giving away several copies each over the next few weeks. I'll be sure to tweet about them and will post here.
